Abstract Color Interactions
In my Color Theory class, I was told to create a piece that gave the illusion of colors in a space using shapes, based on how they interact. Within the project I recognized the changes that occurred when brighter colors want to be pushed forward, and darker colors want to be pushed backwards. However, this can be altered based on the colors the objects are surrounded with.
For this piece, I started in Illustrator by configuration different shapes together. After I finished my initial outline, I copied the first and duplicated it. Within the two different sides, I filled the shapes with different hues made up of a variety of values and saturation. By doing this it is easier to recognize how different colors interact, and how different values can create a sense of 3D forms- even though it is on a 2D platform. (Medium: Illustrator)
